In 1984, the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton railroad was purchased by Canadian National and integrated into the Grand Trunk Western railroad. The GP38 locomotives on the DT&I roster were transferred to the GT roster as units 6200-6206. These locomotives are standard GP38's, without dynamic-brakes.
